Maya Galimidi is the founder of Empower with Nature, a transdisciplinary education platform exploring the relationship between ecology, learning, and lived experience. She serves as an International Ambassador for the Global Ecovillage Network and is a UNESCO Greening Education Partner.

Her work is shaped by long-term engagement with land, memory, and place. Maya has designed and facilitated ecological education programs on sustainable living, permaculture, nature connectedness, and ecovillage practices across the Middle East, Brazil, Europe, and the United States. In the U.S., she develops MA-level and community-based adult learning curricula for Re: The Regenerative School and serves as a guest lecturer at universities internationally.

Alongside her educational work, Maya’s poetry and artistic practice bridge art and ecology through embodied and experiential approaches. She contributes to interdisciplinary art projects, presents in galleries, and facilitates EcoArt practices grounded in sensing, reflection, and presence.

Maya collaborates with the European Union and the United Nations on climate action and women’s empowerment in rural development. She holds a master’s degree in Ecology and Spirituality from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Performing Arts Management from Istanbul Bilgi University.
